About
With over 100 years of combined Parkour and Freerunning experience, our team of coaches offer informative Parkour classes that are jam packed with fun.
Established in 2019, owners Kieran & Callum set out to create an environment that allows them to spread their knowledge and experience to the next generation.

WHAT IS PARKOUR?
Parkour is a movement discipline that involves running, jumping, climbing, flipping and balancing to navigate obstacles efficiently. It’s about adapting to any environment with confidence and creativity, using practical movements to overcome physical challenges.
Parkour focuses on finding creative ways to move through urban and natural spaces. Originating from military obstacle course training, parkour has evolved into a widely practised discipline that values fluidity, precision, and adaptability.
Developed in France in the late 1980s, parkour was influenced by Georges Hébert’s “natural method” of physical training and the obstacle course techniques used by French military units. It was further popularized by David Belle and the Yamakasi group, who introduced the discipline to a global audience through films, documentaries, and online media.
Today, parkour is practiced worldwide in dedicated gyms and outdoor spaces, with communities emphasizing self-improvement, creativity, and respect for the environment. It continues to grow as both a sport and a lifestyle, inspiring people of all ages to explore movement and push their limits.

BENEFITS
Training in parkour builds strength, agility, and coordination through movements like vaults, rolls, and precision jumps. It’s suitable for all skill levels and promotes functional fitness by developing control, endurance, and spatial awareness.
Beyond physical skills, parkour encourages problem-solving, creativity, and self-improvement. It fosters a supportive, non-competitive community that values perseverance, respect, and a positive approach to movement.

Parkour workouts provide total body fitness by engaging all muscles through running and jumping over obstacles. They add a fun twist to static gym routines, combining play with practical, fundamental movements.
Parkour builds confidence by empowering people to tackle challenges they once thought impossible. Conquering something like a large wall can leave you feeling capable of achieving anything.
Anyone can do it—while popular media focuses on big flips and dramatic moves, most parkour involves simple, easy-to-learn movements. Plus, it requires no special equipment and can be done anywhere.

OUR STORY

2017-2019
Before setting up our own business, we started our journey coaching Freestyle Gymnastics at Spiral Gymnastics Club.

2019
When Aspire Parkour Academy began, we worked from Peterborough Regional College sports centre. Each night, we would haul all of our equipment in from our outdoor shipping container. Sun, rain or snow.

2019
Overtime, we continued to purchase equipment, building our collection of modular Parkour equipment and providing 10-15 classes per week for our students in Peterorough.

2019-2020
Within a year of starting our classes, as was the rest of the world, we were ground to a halt with COVID. Once we were permitted, we continued with classes, albeit with masks on and a rigid cleaning routine.

By now we had completely filled our 20ft shipping container with new equipment and with classes filling up with large waiting lists, we were on the hunt for our own space!
2020-2023

We had finally found our home, a 3000sqft unit in Orton Southgate. Saying we were over-the-moon is an understament! We were so thrilled we would have our own space to share our Parkour knowlegde with Peterborough!
2023

With our brand new flooring, a month of set up. We were finally ready to open our doors.

2024
With the very sad news of Level Up Academy in Leeds closing their doors after 10 years of Parkour classes. We had the opportunity to purchase all of their purpose-built equipment. We are please their legacy can continue through us, and their equipment can continue to 'Level Up' our own particpants.
